Moving across the country need help with buying first home!?

I am moving across the country (Georgia to Texas) in less than a month and I want to buy my first home. I am not sure where to start. Any advice? I will not have the ability to go to Texas before moving and take care of anything so I will be doing as much as possible from Georgia. Where do I start? How do I go about locating a reliable realtor? How do I obtain a home loan from long distance, if possible? I am lost, please help! Thanks!

google a realtor to find the home for you…

on the other hand, it is better to be there ot see the house first …

The loan from long distance is the easy part. I do loans in Texas all the time, and I am in Ohio. The hard part is finding a Realtor you can trust. I would recommend someone that works with a big company, simply because they are usually semi trustworthy at worst. You can find a better Realtor at a smaller place, and you can also get ripped off. Call a mortgage person, get a pre-approval, and then call a Realtor and tell them you have a pre-approval, and want to see some listings of homes in your price range.

first, do you want a new home or older one, last year i moved to dallas tx. moved into an appartment, i paid for the year up front, and stash as much money back as possable all year. then i went on HUDD.GOV and bought a house 25000.00 cash. i may have to do a little work on it but its all mine.so you have to ask yourself how bad do i want to do this.
